RDA Meeting August 2 (This Morning)
The Long Beach Redevelopment Agency meets at 9 a.m. at City Hall. Agenda items include the acquisition of the property at 925-945 E. Pacific Coast Hwy.; extension of an agreement with the Arts Council of Long Beach; reimbursement of nearly $6 million to the port for the construction of public improvements in the North Long Beach Project Area; and a recommendation to approve a $200,000 loan to Hogs and Hops, LLC, dba/Beachwood Brewing in Downtown.

Councilman DeLong Guest Speaker Tomorrow, August 3

Long Beach City Council Meeting Tomorrow, August 3, 5 p.m.
Agenda items include: request an amendment to the Local Coastal Program to the Cal. Coastal Commission to allow the Aquarium to add 23,330 sq. ft.; conduct a hearing on the proposed levy of the Marijuana Business License Tax; report on status of offshore oil operations adjacent to city; review standards for commercial signage; and execute a Project Labor Agreement with LA/OC Building & Construction Trades Council related to improvements at LB Airport.

City Council Budget Oversight Committee Meeting, August 4
The three-member Long Beach City Council Budget Oversight Committee meets at 2:30 p.m. at City Hall to examine and discuss a number of items including current year revenue and expense forecast, city pensions, a report on budget solutions in other cities and proposed reductions to the Special Advertising and Promotion Fund.

New Marshalls Opens August 5
A new Marshalls is opening on Atlantic Avenue in the Bixby Knolls Shopping Center (Atlantic and San Antonio Drive) on August 5, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for 10 a.m. The public is invited.
