February 6 (Today) Harbor Commission Meeting
The Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners meets at 1 p.m. at the port administration building, 925 Harbor Plaza, to discuss: authorizing the advertising for bids for the dry docking and repair services for the Fireboat Liberty; establishing water and sewer rates within the Harbor District; the Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement Project; the placement of dredge material within the Middle Harbor Terminal Redevelopment Project; and more.

February 7 City Council Meeting
The Long Beach City Council meets at 5 p.m. at City Hall to discuss: designating the ballot listing of candidates who have been nominated for the city’s primary nominating election in April; the findings on the City of Long Beach retail marketing demographics and corporate sponsorship viability; undertaking an accelerated SEADIP development process; approving the fiscal year 2012 first quarter departmental and fund budget appropriation adjustments;

February 8 USS Iowa Relocation Project Public Meeting
The Port of Los Angeles hosts a public meeting at 6 p.m. at its administration building, 425 S. Palos Verdes St. in San Pedro, regarding the draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the USS Iowa Relocation Project. The Pacific Battleship Center proposes to relocate the battleship from San Francisco to Berth 87, part of the San Pedro Waterfront, where it would be moored year-round. Written comments on the draft EIR must be submitted by March 7.
